At The Together We Dance Foundation, our Summer Dance Team is comprised of HS Kids tasked with the responsibility to help strategize and plan events throughout the summer for our friends from the special needs and Autism Community.
At this time, we are looking for 15 High School students from various local high schools who would like to be a part of our Summer Dance Team. Members will average about 5 volunteer hours per week and will be a part of the shared vision to plan and execute all of our events throughout the summer months beginning with our Night Out at the Phillies Game In June.
Each Dance Team Member will also serve as a buddy with our guests with special needs and Autism who will be attending all of our Summer Events. They will play an instrumental part with The Foundation’s growth through our mission within our community as a valued team member representing The Together We Dance Foundation.
Participation on our Summer Dance Team will serve as a voluntarily internship in which each student will be presented with specific roles, evaluated by our team, and will be provided with letters of recommendation for school volunteer requirements and programs, employment references, and a glowing letter to share on applications for college or trade school down the road.
If you are a high school student who wants to have fun and be empowered to lead a non-profit organization who believes in you to be a leader and advocate while sharing the importance of social inclusion and the crucial role it plays in strengthening our community this summer, we want to hear from you!
